ONLINE ACCESS TO PRESCRITION REQUESTS AND APPOINTMENTS/TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We are using an online service called Patient Access, which will allow you to easily order your repeat medication, book a GP appointment or telephone consultation online and view your medical records (Medications, Allergies & Immunisations) at any time of the day. You can also use Patient Access to advise us of any change of address or telephone number.

You will need to sign up for this service with a receptionist in person who will amend your patient record to enable Patent Access. You may need to show photographic ID to the receptionist who can then amend you record. Once your record is amended, the computer system will automatically print out a letter, giving you full instructions on how to get started.

You can then log into the website address shown on the letter and confirm your registration.

Once activated you will be able to order repeat medication and book appointments/telephone consultations with a GP.

CAN I SIGN UP?

All patients registered with Stafford Medical Group will be able to sign up for the service, although EACH family member will need their own sign in. You will not be able to log in as yourself and order medication for other members of your family.

If you would like to be able to order repeat medication for your child online, you will need an account for them too.

Any one over the age of 16 will have to request this service in person.

 

 

IS IT SECURE?

This is a totally secure web site used by many GP surgeries throughout the UK. Only you will have access to your medication – no one else will be able to view any information about you.

AVAILABILITY

Once registration is completed, you will have immediate access to order prescriptions and make GP appointments.

WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

Simply come in the surgery and speak to a receptionist who will access your computer record and amend it to allow you to start to use Patient access. They will print out the necessary letter and instructions for you (account must activated within 2 weeks of receipt of conformation letter)
